A public-private partnership spanning Flanders and the Netherlands, RegMed XB brings together stakeholders from all sectors of the ‘quadruple helix’; national and regional government; academic research centres and independent research institutions; SME’s and major companies in the life sciences and biotech sectors; healthcare and patient organizations. These stakeholders are bound together within four moonshot programmes, each targeting one of the major non-communicable diseases that present a significant, global, healthcare burden: kidney failure, heart failure, Type 1 diabetes, and osteoarthritis.
